About Asave
Free Instagram downloader — mission, team, and how we operate
Asave helps you save public Instagram reels, photos, videos, stories, carousels, IGTV, and audio for personal offline use. This page explains who we are, how the tool works, and the standards we follow. For step-by-step help, visit our blog & guides or FAQ.
Our mission
Asave exists to make saving public Instagram content simple, transparent, and accessible. Millions of people use Instagram for recipes, tutorials, music, travel inspiration, and creative reference — but the app does not offer a built-in way to keep that media offline on every device.
We built a browser-based tool that lets you paste a public post URL, preview what you are about to save, and download the file in the best quality Instagram serves for that post. No app install, no account linking, and no password required.
Who runs Asave
Asave is an independent project operated by a small team focused on web utilities and creator-friendly tools. We are based in India and serve users worldwide — especially mobile users who prefer a fast web tool over risky APK files from unknown developers.
We publish guides on our blog, share tutorials on YouTube, and maintain this site with regular updates when Instagram changes how public media is delivered. We are not a large corporation — we are builders who use the same tool ourselves.
How the downloader works
When you paste a public Instagram URL, our servers request the same media files that Instagram's CDN exposes for that post. You see a preview before downloading so you can confirm it is the correct reel, photo, carousel slide, or video.
We only process URLs you submit manually. We do not offer bulk scraping, private-account access, or login-based harvesting. If content requires an Instagram login to view, our tool cannot fetch it — by design.
Audio downloads extract the sound track from public video posts and reels. Files are delivered for personal offline use; we do not host a public re-upload library or social feed.
Editorial standards
Our blog articles are written to help real users — not to stuff keywords. Guides explain step-by-step workflows, compare honest trade-offs between methods, and cover safety, copyright, and troubleshooting.
We update articles when platforms or browsers change behavior. Each guide lists when it was published and links to related tutorials so you can go deeper on a specific topic.
If you spot outdated instructions or an error, email us. We fix factual mistakes promptly.
Copyright and acceptable use
Photos, videos, reels, and audio on Instagram belong to their creators unless stated otherwise. Downloading public content for personal offline viewing is a common user need, but reposting, selling, or distributing someone else's work without permission may violate copyright law and Instagram's terms.
Always credit creators when you share their work. Do not use download tools to harass users, archive private profiles, or build unauthorized content libraries. We support personal, respectful use only.

How we stay free
The service is supported by optional advertising through Google AdSense and privacy-respecting analytics — but only after you accept cookies in our banner. We do not sell your personal data or the URLs you submit to data brokers.
You can decline non-essential cookies and still use the downloader. Read our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and why.
